paintings

I've always felt that painting is a wonderful way to express your emotions and your creativity.

I continue to love Margaret Olley's still life studies and approach to her art practise since I studied at art school and was first introduced to her work. I'm also inspired by Margaret Preston's beautiful lino cuts and paintings. Criss Canning also is a wonderful inspiration.

I am just starting out in this area of still life, and I'm already completely obsessed and love the feeling of the paint on board.

Flowers and the natural world have been a part of my life since I gardened at Warburton with my family in the 70's. Our family owned nurseries, which helped grow my enthusiasm for plants.

I love the selection process of objects to place in still life paintings. What in, what's out its all meaningful and relevant.

Which flowers are going to make the vase!
